Saturday SUNday runs September 26, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Elizabeth River Park, 1400 Elizabeth River Way. The city lists it as free and open to the public; the event is weather dependent.

Saturday afternoon: Chesapeake Celebrates Trees

Head to the Chesapeake Arboretum, 624 Oak Grove Road, on September 26, noon-4 p.m. Admission is free. The city lists tree-climbing demonstrations, an interactive butterfly exhibit, tree-trail tours and a food truck.

Sunday: browse the Waterway Market

The Waterway Market at Great Bridge Village is listed for September 27, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at Battlefield Park South, 120 Reservation Road. Expect local vendors with produce, artisan goods, food trucks and prepared foods.

MON SEPT 28-TUE SEPT 29

For Monday night: the updated lane-shift date

The city has moved the northbound lane shift at 234 George Washington Highway N to 9 p.m. Monday, September 28, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, September 29. This replaces the September 24-25 dates in Wednesday's email.

What to do: Follow posted signs and check the updated city notice before traveling.
